About Me

I received my B.A. from the University of Massachusetts in Cultural Anthropology. After a few years of traveling and completing graduate coursework in philosophy, literature and poetry, I discovered my deep interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I received a full-scholarship to the University of Tennessee where I earned my doctorate (Ph.D.) where I received training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and published a number of peer-reviewed research and clinical case studies. After spending an internship year at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY, I completed a four-year, advance Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Austen Riggs Center. I have been in full time private practice since 2010.
